What is the National Disability
Insurance Scheme?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (aka NDIS) is a national funding scheme for individuals with a disability that impacts their ability to participate in everyday activities including work. A person can become a participant of the NDIS if they have not yet reached the age of 65.
|
NDIS funding is quite flexible and enables participants to access devices and services as long as they are deemed necessary and appropriate for their needs in relation to their NDIS plan. In the context of hearing impairment, NDIS could help fund hearing aids, accessories, assistive devices & appointments.
